All 35mm based slides, including Kodachrome and Ektachrome slides are scanned at 4000dpi.
Each slide is cleaned prior to scanning and the scans can be downloaded to your device or returned on a USB / Disc or SD card.
All 2" slides are scanned including 35mm, half frame, 126, Super 35mm and 110 mounted slides, either card, plastic or glass mounted and also Kodachrome and Ektachrome.
Air - Wipe - Air cleaning
Before scanning, each slide is individually cleaned with our Air-Wipe-Air process.
Each slide is blown with clean filtered compressed air to remove the loose dust and dirt particles
The film surface is then brushed and wiped with specialised cleaning pads
A second blow of compressed air is used to remove any loosened particles
During the scanning process all colour films are digitally processed with an Infra Red system to remove any remaining dust and scratch defects.
Slide ordering
We do try to keep to any ordering of the slides, however due to the way our scanning processing works we cannot always guarantee that the ordering will be maintained, especially where different slide sizes are mixed together, such as regular 35mm, mixed with 126 and 110 slides. However, any grouping of the slides is always maintained where possible.
127 "Super slides"
127 "Super slides" are the same 2" frame size as regular 35mm slides but they have a larger viewing aperture (opening) of 40mm x 40mm, as opposed to 35mm x 24mm for regular 35mm film.
We can scan these as regular 35mm slides but you should be aware that a considerable portion of the image will be lost.
If you wish to have the whole frame captured then they will have to be scanned using our Medium Format scanning service.

What this service covers
We scan unmounted black and white, colour and transparencies in various sizes including 6 x 4.5cm, 6 x 6cm, 6 x 7cm, 6 x 8cm, 6 x 9cm and 6 x 12cm.
All medium format items are scanned individually by hand using dedicated Medium Format film scanners which are specifically designed to handle Medium Format film.
Mounted film
It is common for 6 x 6cm film to be mounted in plastic, card or heavy glass frames. Our medium format scanners will only accept unmounted film, either singular or in strips of up to three frames. Therefore, all mounted medium format film will have to be removed from the frame prior to scanning. You can either do this yourself, or we can do this for you.
Selected Frames
If you only require some of the frames on a strip scanned, then simply let us know which frames to scan using the frame number on the film strip. Alternatively, if the films are held in transparent plastic sleeves you could make the identification on the sleeve. Please ensure the frames are clearly identified. Please do not mark the strips themselves.
Cleaned before scanning
Each strip is blown clean with filtered compressed air and then brushed before scanning. Infrared is used on colour films during scanning to detect and remove any remaining defects. Infrared detection is not available on Black and White film, therefore any defects on the film are likely to be seen on the final scanned image.
